Have a set of Motegi mr3s one rim needs replaced but these are kind of har to find and generally a little overpriced when found I can get a set of 17inch chrome giovannas with two good tires for 350 but they are from a chick and have light curb rash or a set of nice mint Katana 18s with new tires for 450 but I think they are too much for my civic ex any opinions guys? this is driving me crazy if I had the money I would just buy em all

I know its all about personal preference, but 17's seriously do not look right at all. I dont care if they were TE-37's I still wouldn't have them on my car if they were 17's

17's on a Civic reminds me of a Volkswagen.

So 18s are definitely too big? probably rip the lugnut and bolt right off comin out of a hard turn??Its a 99 civic and 17s actually look alright which were what was on there when I got it I found a rim but its pricey what im paying for a mint rim and a mounted new tire is half what those 18s cost

17"s are like dubs for a Civic.

17s for a hatch look stupid in my opinion, not so much on a coupe though, as long as its lowered.

i had a set of 18's on my 00, they looked good, but thats about all they were good for. i took some really hard corners and never had any problems, just lost quite a bit on acceleration. if you want looks and thats all go with the bigger rims. if you want performance a nice set of 15's or 16's with a great set of tires will be the better bet.

If you want a comfortable ride I'd stick to 15s or 16s.

You have some pictures of the rims?

Well I could honestly care less what size they are as long as they look good its all about the car and the rim style I am mainly concerned about $ and I don't wanna damage the car the 17s on there are pretty light and they can take a beating so guess Ill roll with em. Appreciate everyone's opinion thanks
