Frightening Exhaust Problem!
For a while my cat has been rattling, and finally last night something crazy happened.
I pulled out of my development and suddenly lost all power in my engine. For the rest of the trip back, the car couldn't go above 3k rpm or 40mph on it's own.
There wasn't any exhaust coming through my muffler either and then today it became apparent that all exhaust and some moisture was coming out of the gasket area around my cat.
I've had an exhaust leak before and the power lost wasn't nearly this significant!
Do you think a new cat could solve this? All other exhaust components looked fine.
Any thoughts?

Easy tiger.
He is right tho. Just get that cat checked out if you do not know what your looking for and maybe purchase a new one.

It's a magnaflow cat (just got it in august and had tons of problems) and a test pipe is on the way to completely replace it (since i don't want to afford a while new cat)

ok you have three options in this situation...1 buy a new cat.2buy a new test pipe... 3 take your old cat out and take a large pipe stick the pipe in the hole of the cat then pound it though the screens in the cat remove any screen peices that are loose try to get out as much of the insides of that cat as possible reinstall and vualah you have a new custom high flow cat LOL! and i would be a bit concerned about your water in your pipes check coolant levels !
