B series compared to D series

Default B series compared to D series

how much more does the b series motors plus tranny axeles and all that stuff weigh compared to the d series stuff?

That is alot more then I thought. Normal b series stuff weighs like 300 pounds, so your saying it weighs half that amount, or maybe less then half. That seem like a stretch to me. Anyone like to back him up?

B series is worth the weight. more power to start and a lot more potential to build on. i think his name is "driven"--yellow CRX race car. what motor, you ask? B16

My car dropped by half an inch to an inch in the front with the swap. The crate said 450lbs for the engine, tranny, shiftlinkage, ecu, axles and wiring. Me and my brother could pick the sohc with ease, but the dohc was a struggle.

That's why I wanted to know. I don't want to put then motor in, and find out my car is now too slammed in the front to go anywhere with a driveway. Thanks 97hb
