Fuel Gauge Problems.... WTF????
I guess my fuel gauge is officially dead. When I turn the key over and supply power before starting the car, my fuel gauge will drop straight to empty for no reason. I have another cluster and tested it which holds at the level where it should. The only bad thing is it's an auto cluster and has the gear positions down the center. Is there anyway to transfer the gauge face from the manual to the auto temp/fuel gauge? I know it requires removing the needles which worries me. I would rather have the auto temp/fuel gauge in my car than 2 broken gauges. If there is a correct way to do this let me know.

just swap out the fuel guage. screws are on the back. should be like 3-4 depending on type of guages. i did this with my del sol tach. u wont have to take off the needle, so dont worry about that.

does anybody elses fuel gauge drop dramatically when you put your foot on the gas, but slowly go back up again, or is it just me? Perhaps my guage is going out too. The guage is 170,000+ mile old.
