Some pics of a little ride we had. Caracas 12/01/07
Well, this was kinda of improvised, a last hour arrangement to just get out and ride. We were only three riders, HT and /26 member, Blindstuff (GS500), a mutual friend of ours (GS650F) and yours truly (XT225).
We met on a gas station and our destination was going to be the SE outskirts of Caracas.

We went riding in some very nice backroads, we even decided to do some light dual sporting (The GS500 fitting the role nicely
), I didn't took any pics because I was having way too much fun to remember.
Then, seeing as we had no water and the heat was kinda killing us, we decided to return and make a stop to rest our machines and our bodies.

Really nice view, a shame the pics didn't come too good.

Everything looks better from inside a bikers helmet

Well that's it...it was a fun ride, my first group ride and it really is a refreshing experience. More down the road, be ready for longer trips with a lot more of pics (better pics also).
Hope you guys enjoyed

SWEET! looks like you guys had fun. that's exactly why i wanna get a Dual Sport, their is always some cool trails out there that you come across where a Dual Sport is needed.
edit: nice license plates.

Yeah man it was fun as hell, if we didn't had elections tomorrow, you can bet we would be heading back there. It's so addicting to go out on a nice group ride.
I wasn't too convinced of keeping my XT, but damn after our little ride today I was hooked...I did the "move" from racing and sporty cars to a 4X4 some months ago and been loving it...now it seems I did the same with bikes (Always wanted a sport bike but ended with this DS):
And you don't need a KTM 990 Adventure or similar to have fun, a little thumper like my XT or a Suzuki DR200, can give you tons of fun on the trails.
And in Califa, oh my, there should be awesome trails all over the place.
And the license plates...they are special venezuelan identification tags

Was a fun ride, what I learned today is that as much as I love tarmac and riding on nice solid ground, fighting with the loose gravel with the GS500 got me thinking of getting a DS, I was just having to much trouble with how any throttle I gave the bike meant the back sliding all over the place.
Probably when I upgrade to a 600cc SS, I will sell the GS500 and buy some fun decent DS that I can daily drive and take on trips like this one.

What do you think that wheelie I did was for?
Besides the ladies think we hid behind our helmets because we're ugly
