Default UGH - Unlock CD Player (2000 Accord EX)

I had to take my Accord into the shop and after disconnecting the battery, the CD player is asking for a 5 digit code. Any idea on how to get it without going through the dealer to pay for it? I looked inside the owner's manual (not there) as well as in the glove compartment, under the dash, and under the fusebox cover.

Any help would be appreciated...

well if its not in the owners manual that means someone already stuck it somewhere or lost it, my old stock stereo code was stuck on the outside of the glovebox. when opening the glovebox, look on the outside left. (so when its open if u were sitting in the driver seat u cld see where im talking about.) there should be a sticker on there with that suckers code... best explanation i got w/o a pic. good luck !

I know exactly what you mean. Open the glovebox and look on the side that faces the drivers seat. I'll check it out. I really don't want to have to pay $71 bucks to get the code.

How hard is it to get the dash pieces off so i can take the cd player out and look for the code on there? Know of any tutorials?

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

It's free

Accord FAQ

Radio removal or cluster removal both show how to do it.

Go to a dealership with the serial number and they'll give you the code.

That $71 is for them to remove everything to get the code
