Default Power window motor bench test

Hey can someone tell me how i can hook up a power window motor to see if it is good by directly hooking it to power. More specific, which wire is power and which is ground. For both driver and passenger side. Thanks.

We'd have to know make and model and everything. Just find a wiring diagram.

PM a mod to get it moved. I'm sure someone there will be able to locate a diagram. Make sure it actually needs 12v before you hook it up. It might run off of 5v or something, and you don't wanna fry it.

Then it should be as simple as hooking up power and ground.

12v. Hook it up to your car battery to test. Reverse wires to change direction.

Also, use a multimeter to measure the current draw. Over time, moisture causes corrosion which leads to excess electrical resistance which diminishes current flow and weakens the regulator motor. The current draw should match the current rating stamped on the motor itself.
