Default thinking about getting an rsx.. few qs about 03 rsx-s vs 05 rsx-s

im about to buy an rsx type s but undecided to choose from an 02-04 or 05-06. i know that the 05-06 has more power due to better camshafts. well if im going to go n/a on this baby anyways, is it still beneficial for me to ge the 05-06 or older models? my plans is some i,h,e and camshafts on kpro. also.. any1 have pics comparison of the 2 years? i cant tell the difference. thx

honestly to me, there both good. 02-04 doesnt need any modification when using kpro. also it has the original k20a2 while the 05+ are equipped with the z1 a little faster but youll need a 02-04 ECU and extention for kpro. not that big of a deal it should all depend on what gen. u want. personally i prefer a 02-04, because my sister owns a 06. both awesome cars its just the newer ones have some upgrades comparing to the older.

The 05-06 is better all around. Better looking, updated suspension, more comfy seats, better trans (4.3 fd vs 4.7 fd) with no grinding problems. The 05 had a better valvetrain to accomodate the itr-like cams. It also has an exhaust that is very similar to the ITR. Dont get me wrong... I love my 02, but if I could do it again, I would go with the 05.

I prefer the 02-04 because of the motor. yeah the z1 has more pep to it because of the revised PRC cams but you can do the same to the a2. the 05-06 is leaned more towards interior then anything. 05-06 has better exhaust, which is on my 02. K-pro is a plug and play as opposed to the 05-06. i chose the 02-04 because of my goal i'm trying to accomplish and i personally like the longer gears as opposed to the shorter gears in the 05-06.

Also look at the taillights and headlights on the 05-06 they don't have the dip things. i think they look better but i still prefer the 02-04

my recently purchased my06. wouldnt have it any other way. personally the only reason i didnt look at the older model is i hate the stock wheels on the 02-04.

The 02-04 have a more distinct look... that I like. I have 05: cams, wheels, interior, exhaust, suspension, side skirts and spoiler on my 02. I now have the best of both worlds. But you make a very good point about the 05-06 kpro. Nice car chadismo... Looks just like the one I testdrove before I bought mine.

Is that lowered at all? NHB is the only color that can pull off the chrome housing headlights IMO.

^ No color RSX can pull off the stock headlights, they are horrible.

I dunno... I think the stock headlight housing looks pretty good with some HIDs.

All years are cool. Except for 05-06, kpro is exspensive! Doesn't matter what year as long as you get Premium White Pearl..haha DC5 FTW
