Default What Would Kill My MPG Drastically?

I do not trust my gas gauge very much. Normally I get about 30MPG when driving nicely and 26 when hauling *** to get to work.

I'm currently around the 24MPG range and I haven't been getting on my car very much at all this fill up.

I'm not sure what would make this happen really :-/. HALP?

The gas gauge isnt all that accurate in our cars anyways. Does it run worst or anything or is it just not getting as good of mpg as usual? It could be a bad 02 sensor...

When was the last time you replaced your o2 sensor? If its been a while a new one will usually bump your millage up pretty noticeably.

I'm not even sure when 1 should be changing that out, but it could just be shitty winter gas, eh?

it may be part winter gas, also winter tires may change your mileage. maybe just a bad week.

Don't go by your gas gauge. Use your trip meter, and fill your tank completely. Next time you fill up use miles traveled/ gallons used = More accurate reading of MPG.
Also correct tire pressure, and a Mild tune-up could help

How long have you had your car? (If you just have summer data, it is cold now.)
How far is your trip to work? (SHort trips when it is cold kill mileage.)
How long does it take for your car to warm? (Or worse yet, are you idling the car to warm it before driving?)
