Viper 5900 $400 installed. Am I getting hooked up?
My cousin's friend who works at a alarm shop said he could get me the Viper 5900 Alarm/Remote Start for $400 installed. Is this a good deal? I saw a few threads concerning the Viper 5900 and how nice it is, but am I getting a good deal for $400? I dont wanna lowball him if this is already a good deal and make him not want to go through with it anymore. Its for a 99 integra btw

It really depends on the install, Is it stealth? is the siren in the fender or under the battery box. If you can see a siren on a install its a wack install and you have no chance, is this with a back up battery.

he really didnt give me any details. he just said he would install the whole thing for $400. I'm not sure if he will place it under the battery box, but I doubt he would. How much is a back up battery and is it needed?

Retail is like 39.99-49.99. I bought mine new off Ebay for 10.00. Take the risk or no warranty, but I figured 10.00 was worth a shot. Mine works awesome!
bada$$ alarm, but honestly dude, save some bucks, learn some wiriring and spend a day doing it yourself, I know around here, your a straightup dumba$$ if you let a shop install it, word gets around and those 2 wires tht need snipped are placed in the open for ther installers cousins brothers dad.
More like 3 days if you're not electrically inclined. Oh and have a friend available to give you a ride to spots or a bike handy cus you will forget something.

$400 is a decent price. Just make sure your siren is hidden and not in the open. Also backup battery is a must!

$100 for the install or $700 for the install. It really matter on the quality of the work. I seen $500 installs look like pooooooo
okay so ill make sure he installs it using a backup battery. anything else i need to know for a good install besides having the siren under the battery box? what about the "brain?" is it okay to just have it under the driver side dash?

it takes more time, but you can get more creative when installing yourself. besides the best security IMO is not disclosing your security, leaving everything in question. theres only so many places to hide security, search around for different ideas and installs unless you really don't want to mess with that, or unable then have him do the install

Is this from a shop or from someone that just has the alarm? I work at Best Buy and I can tell you right now, those alarms are priced WAY above what the cost price is. So even $400 installed is roughly $230 profit for them if they get the alarm straight from Viper.
