Default 1990 Accord Fuel Smell and During Chock It Idles Up & Down

I have a 1990 Accord and am having problems with it having a fuel smell every once in a while and during the chock it idles up and down. I have checked the fuel lines, fuel filter, injectors and vacuum lines, but nothing appears to be bad. The car has 243K miles on it. From what I can tell it may be a problem with the emissions evaporator, but I do not know. How do I check the system? Would something else be causing this?

Doesn't anyone know anything about this? The fuel smell is happening more often now.

lol the thermowax valve on the manifold is out of adjustment. take the 2 phillips screws out, and tighten the white plastic thing in there with a large screw driver. not real tight, just screw it back in.

fuel smell is most likely evap system failure. get a repair manual from the auto parts store and it will walk you though diagnosing it.
