Need help understanding what the different lug nubers mean 4x 114 ect.
4x114 means that there are four lug nuts and the circle formed by the centers of the lug nuts is 114.3 mm (exactly 4.5 inches) in diameter.
You can take a ruler or tape measure, and measure the lug circle, using the diagrams below as a guide. On most Honda/Acura cars, it's either 100 mm or 114.3 mm. According to this website, an '86 Accord is 4x100, but it won't hurt to measure, just to be sure.

one other thing to know is when you get an aftermarket wheel, lug nuts- the thread pitch is 12mmx1.5, and you will need a conical seat lug nut as opposed to the factory ball-seat honda...
Thanks for the info,I thought that the 114 had to do with the lug bolt length for thicker wheels.LOL.Mark
