need feedback on short shifter
I'm looking for a short shifter for my DA9 and I can get a B&M one for $55 but I did some research and it seems that some short shifters seem to brake after a while so I was wondering if B&M is a good reliable shifter, also whats the difrence between single and duel bend, if anybody knows about a cheap, reliable short shifter please let me know.
B&M makes nice shifters for muscle cars, so i would assume that they would be good for honda's too. i know the aluminum ones tend to break at the threads, at least i know of a few that have. i have a skunk its steel, single bend, and its awesome, the dual bend just puts the **** closer to you, i think, http://www.skunk2.com/mm5/merc...-0090
there is one of each side by side, i would opt for the single bend IMO.

I've had a $40 AutoZone shifter in my car for 6+ years.
I prefer dual bend. Otherwise the shifter leans back when in neutral and I like it to sit straight up in neutral.

My DA has the gold ITR linkage (other DC2 linkages are not gold) with Energy Suspension shift bushings and the NextGear heavyweight shift ****. It shortens throw reasonably, has OEM or better quality, and feels real solid.

The shift linkage itself has no effect on shift throw length.

B&M's don't break(maybe rarely). Personally I like just using a GSR shifter, it has a shorter throw and is OEM(it won't break). That's what I ran in my EF and my DA(and of course my GSR).
just so you know, cheap and reliable do not mix.
i have a skunk2 in my car, dual bend, it makes it closer to you.
i've installed a solo single bend on my friends car and for what its worth, i'll never put it in my car. its as light as a paper.

Guess mine is an exception to the rule.
