you know how your light turns on when you turn the car onto the on position and when you first start the car

well mine doens teven turn on anymore now as of today

any suggestions?

 

check oil pressure switch and/or bulb in the cluster

 

vtec oil pressure switch?

 

lol.....change the bulb. Start small.

 

could it be anything else?

 

The circuit is simple. It consists of the sensor screwed into your block (and no, not the VTEC oil pressure sensor...just a seperate one dedicated to the little idiot light in your cluster), connected through a piece of wire to the bulb in your cluster. The other side of the bulb connects to a switched +12v source.

Check the light.

Light Bad? Replace light.
Light Good? Check teh sensor.

Sensor Bad? Replace sensor.
Sensor Good? Use a meter to check for shorts/opens in the wire.

Don't have a meter? Replace it all until it works.
