Default Question about ECU Wires.

Hello I just became the proud owner of a 01 PY ITR. I baught it used and have a question for you guys. The only mod done to the car was a VAFC. I am looking to remove this but it looks like the installer connected the VAFC wires very close to the plug that goes into the ECU. Is there anyway to replace the batch of wires that run out of the ECU. Do the wires run out of the ECU and to all diffrent components on the car or do that meet up at another common connector and I can just change from that connector to the ECU? If not what ways do you guys recomend removing the VAFC cause I am a little stumpted because the wires were tapped or spliced so close to the plugs.

any help would be appreciated
-Joe

Why do you want to remove it? To remove it, take all the tape or shrinwarp on the wires, remove all the VAFC wires, and reconnect the wires they cup and re cover the rest that just have no insulation.

I wanted to remove it because I dont feel it will do me much good on a totally stock car. Plus I just dont really trust it. If I had plans to mod the car I would leave it in but I dont have any plans to. Thanks for the advise.

Well i dont understant why you dont "trust" it, but people have been using VAFCs for a while now with zero problems with the unit itself. There are some gains to be had on an otherwise stock motor also, just needs some dyno tuning.
