No, because it's not illegal to put a high asking price on a used car. Depending upon how clean the car is, it's even possible that someone might come along and buy it for that much. I sure wouldn't, but stranger things have happened.
Plus, it's an Arrrrrrrr.....

Personally I wouldnt really want a 97 model, however there are very very few "clean" Type Rs left. I would put money that the majority (over 50%) have been wrecked or modded in some way or form. Possibly put back to stock, but I've seen way to many ITRs with the JDM fronts and very few were made.

that does seem extremely high... of course we know nothing about the car.. Miles? Condition?? Maybe its MINT one owner, stock, clean title, with 1,000 miles.. Then its worth 32.... But realistically.. if it is super mint, someone might pay that, but its not likely.
32 thousand? Thats just as bad as the dealers selling used cars with 70% apr, and I'm sure theres someone willing to pay that much for a type r.
Not too long ago there was a 97 Type R for sale with 800 orginal miles on it and it went for $26k so $30k is possible if the caR would have no miles on it.

ok well i talked to the guy today and i checked it out, it has 60 thousand miles on it and its ver very clean , no accidents and for the most part it was always garaged , the engine bay looks like it was well mainttained i didnt get a chance to snap any pics because it was raining but i will sometimes next week
would you seriosuly buy a 10 year old car with 1000 miles? imagine how much sitting around that must have done. i bet anything everythings dried up and its not worth running anymore.

Power and technology doesnt say everything about a cars value. An ITR at the moment sure as hell doesnt cost $30k though even in mint condition. People are just going to have to keep it in the garage and years down the road well see what its worth.
