I thought it was 13.5, but everytime I am on E for 2 days, when I go to fill it up all I can put it is 10.8-11.1, why is that?

 

11.5 I think. Less than 12 gallons for sure.

 

I only get about 10.5 gallons in there....it maybe larger, but I bet the fuel pump and float may displace a half gallon or so....and maybe the gauge isn't telling us the whole story....just a guess

 

It's around 13 gallons, just drive it until you stall it if you need reassurance.

you guys need to push the envelope of that E and the warning light...i've had to fill up 12.7 before...

 

Ive never had to put more than 11 in, im gonna drive an extra 50 miles next time i THINK im on E.hehe.

Sometimes my situation requires me to run on E for as long as I can, but don't do it too much if you don't have to. Fuel pump life is really shortened over the life of the car if you starve it too much.
Running on E = good weight reduction

 

So true, pulling out with a full tank of gas can be felt like no other, sometimes i only fill it up half way to save the weight. Make twice as many trips to the gas station, but i see that as twice as many reasons to drive the R.

 

Dancing on E is even better than driving on it....

The USDM integra gas tank is 13.2 gallons. It has a tendancy to read empty when you've still got quite a bit of fuel left. That's why I go by milage. Although one time I put 13.5 when I basically coasted into the gas station...

I've never let it hit the E, I always fill it when I have alittle less than a 1/4 of a tank left.

the last gallon of "fuel" is a lot of nasty *** **** i know I dont want going through my motor. I always fill up before the E for this reason.

 

i've only put liek 40 litres max in there
once it hits e i let it stay for a day
but i guess i dont' run it that hard
i'm just afirad the can wil run outta gas

 

my gsr has a 55 litre gas tank, but even from bone dry when i filled it up it only came to 40 litres, i went and asked the honda dealership why? they told me that there is always 12 to 15 litres of gas in the tank that remains unused, to prevent all the **** at the bottom from getting into your injectors. So even if your car stops due to lack of gas, there is still 12 to 15 litres of gas in the tank.

Isn't the fuel drawn from the bottom of the tank? And doesn't the fuel (especially in a baffle-less type R) get sloshed around quite a bit? How can the last gallon or 2 be so filthy, it's all gas. Am I mistaken in thinking this?
