Ya'll im not super informed about hondas as you guys are, so i came to ask some quick questions.

I have a 92 civic in which i swapped a b16a3 (complete swap) from a 95 del sol vtec. A couple of years after that i fucked up the motor by running into a huge puddle of water. The cai sucked a good amount of water and as u know water in motor... no good.

After that, i swapped a jdm b16a g2, it ran good for the first two months but then my check engine light came on. i have taken it to many local shops but they seem ignorant about the subject. i checked the ecu too see what codes it was throwin, it was the knock sensor and the speed sensor.

Now i have to do the smog asap, and the most recent mechanic i took the car to cant find the reason of this issue. he also said that he cant connect his scaner and also that i have to get an obd2 ecu. i believe he's ....um stupid?

According to him the emissions are fine but the check engine light wont let it pass. if this is the case, would it be a good idea to get those chips which disables the knock sensor and speed limiter??? i have a p30 obd1 btw.

so your speedo isnt working right? either your vss isnt working or your cluster is fucked..or maybe a loose pinfit...

why dont you connect your knock sensor and call it a day? or just ground the damn wire..easy fix..

 

u make it sound easy like if i knew how to do that **** bro....well i do but..ahhh

ill try doin that, hopefully i dun *** it up more lol

both the knock and speed sensor were replaced though, but it keeps throwin the same codes. for now i just wanna pass smog as my permit expires this month..no more extensions allowed
