To all my H-t fellows i found the serect to making an extrat 30% gain to ur setup
It all started as a quest to make 220 whp on a 1.8l
about a year and a half ago i make 208whp on a 1.8L
setup
head
gsr
supertech valve springs and retainers
jun II cams
jg intake manifold
jg cam gears
jg throttle body 68mm
block
integra ls
ctr pistons 81mm
ls rods
arp rod bolts
gsr block griddle
gsr main center caps
fuel managment
crome
rc 320cc
255lph walbro fuel pump
tranny
b16
all stock
header
dtr
4-2-1
now i have a
setup
head
b16 dtr ported
port flow valve springs and retainers
sk2 stg3 cams
jg intake manifold
jg cam gears
jg throttle body 68mm
block
integra ls
ctr pistons 81mm
ls rods
arp rod bolts
gsr block griddle
gsr main center caps
fuel managment
hondata s200
rc 750cc
90si fuel pump
dtm headers
Boy do i have the luck......
first time to dyno no vtec
found the problem to be too small of v tec oil line
second time to dyno
valves kiss piston on first vtec pass
went back to the shop
found belt is now a teeth off
line up the belt and did compression
what the fu-k only 180psi
o-well
i still went back and dyno
made a 209whp pass still need to finish tuning dyno comp was locking up
setup

208whp 1.5 year ago

209whp on a hurt motor now with the missing link..........
here s the results
dtm headers 166.9whp (what can i say its a hurt motor)
dtm headers (with the missing link everyone needs) 209.1whp 144ft tq

Probably hydro-locked it with those 750cc injectors and 95 psi fuel. Thats why it jumped time. Do most people still go to the dyno after they have bent there valves, just curious.

Difficult to read the charts and the differences between dyno runs is not clearly spelled out.
For instance:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B19coupe »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The red run is with a full exhaust, the yellow run is open header with minor fuel tuning.

The huge dip at 6,500 and subsequent low power output above 6,500 (on the red run)is due to a huge exhaust restriction.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The gains/losses on the chart are clearly explained and easy to understand.

so the secret to making an extra 30% is to bend your valves and use a missing link?
