Default OBD1 GSR P72 ECU - B20b = Will it start it?

My car isn't starting and I trying to diagnose the problem.

Will an OBD1 GSR ECU start a B20b?

Does it use the same base timing, the same injectors? B20 obviously has a larger displacement.
If it does start, don't drive it like that.

I just need to diagnose my problem - I have a hondata S200 setup w/ p72 b20 basemap (suposedly) and a virgin p72

I am gonna have to find a LS ECU to borrow to try and start it!

What is the stock ECU for the B20 you have? I would try that, as long as there's no boost involved.
Remember, Fuel-Compression-Spark. You need a correctly timed spark, correct duty cycle for the injectors and cylinder compression to ignite the fuel mixture.

I don't have a stock b20 ecu. All I have is a b20 basemap (at least it is supposed to be) and the stock b18c1 ecu.

It should at least start the car. What's the problem you are having. Does it turn over?

I actually bought my car with the B20 swapped in, and the stock LS ECU [P75] installed. I drove it this way for 4 months before cracking open the ECU to find it wasn't chipped or tuned in any way! Very hard on the engine, but it ran. I pulled a 16.90 in the quarter like that.

Turns over, has spark in all four, compression good, timing good, seems to be flooding it (maybe)

I am going to go borrow a LS ecu and see if it starts.
