.Apex-i N1 will make a loud *** buzzing sound, then again any straight thru muffler will. And a gutted cat will make it sound worse, get a high flow cat. But it will be pretty loud, so if you want your car quiet I wouldn't reccommend this exhaust. Get GReddy Evolution or something.
The GReddy Evo is straight-through also, so by your definition it would have a loud *** buzzing sound also. The GReddy Evo is also not a quiet exhaust despite what some people may think.
Yep...Apexi N1 will sound like chainsaws with a gutted cat/test pipe, plus it's loud as all hell. I don't really like the way it sounds either with a cat, sounds like a bike. It looks great though, especially on Preludes. And like the dude said about the EVO...finally, someone else says it's not that quiet...I fully agree. If anything the EVO sounds farty as hell, I don't know where people get this "deep, smooth sound" from. Maybe inside the car, but outside the car most exhausts sound different than inside. They are usually louder inside the car, and have a different pitch outside. I've heard the EVO on numerous cars and the one it sounded best on was a turboed Integra, everything else it sounded like **** on...
When I said GReddy Evolution was quiet, I was comparing it to Apex-i N1. I know it's not the quietest exhaust, but quieter than others. It's in between loud and quiet. Every car I hear it on, it's deep, throtty, and fairly quiet. Punching it is a different story...
