Default slamming and em1

so i am thinking about getting an em1 and i was curious if i could pretty much slam it without buying coilovers. those are just fing expensive ha. anyone recommend some springs and shocks. toxico blues maybe?

NOT tokico blues, no way no how. Those are not good for anything more than the mildest of drops.

Neuspeed or H&R Race springs will provide a significant drop, but not as low as some of the EM1's in the Slammed thread. You'll need some sort of adjustable coilover for that.

Shock choices for a race lowering spring should be limited to Tokico Illumina or Koni Sport.

You could also go with Ground Control coilovers made to fit Koni Sport shocks. Yes it's expensive but quality is awesome, and Koni shocks can last a VERY long time. I have over 150,000 miles on my Koni shocks.

+1 on the H&R Race (red) springs, they will eliminate all the gap, have to get some good shocks for them though.
