Default Anyone re-cover their dash with suede?

Ok so I'm sitting in my hatch wondering what my next interior mod would be. Right now I'm going through my suede phase. I already have a Personal steering wheel that has black suede with red stitching. I'm getting a suede shifter boot and suede e-brake cover and re-covering my door panels in red suede similar to the Type R. I'm wanting to add black suede to my headliner too and maybe cover the upper plastic panels in suede as well or just paint them black.

I was thinking back to the time when I sat in my bosses Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale and just admired all the suede that the car was covered in. I was just drooling. I fell in love with the dash. It was covered in black suede with red stitching and I just knew that I wanted my civic to have a suede dash covered just like it.

So has anyone ever tried to have this done? Or is it just too much trouble for a little old civic?

Here is a pic I found of a VW. I haven't found any honda pics with suede dashes.

there was a thread about this under SEARCH>Suede interior or something of the sort....The guy did it in an ek i believe and it looked okay. The only bad part about real suede is that it is expensive and fades easly

I am a fan of suede dashes, however i can never drop down the money for quality suede for a project that might not turn out well...

I found that thread. His came out pretty good, but I'm mainly interested in the dash for now. Once I get that out of the way I'll see what else I can do. I'm not much of a DIY guy on major projects that involve great attention to detail. I am doing the door panels myself, but I'd rather have a pro tackle the dash and headliner. I just want a few suede touches here and there. I'm not looking to cover the entire interior in suede...... at least not all of it. I'm going to be getting CTR rear seats with the black suede and red stitching and USDM ITR front seats too. So I'm trying to keep in the black with red stitching theme without going to over board.

i have a poor man's Ferrari, S2000. So suede in anything but one is...well...ugly imo. But do it and prove me wrong.

It's just in me to go above and beyond to be different while still keeping the lines true to the original car. Usually I don't bother to remember peoples opinions too much, I just looking for ideas or tips on how to go about and do this.

People told me I was crazy for painting my TA a dark grey. I just got tired of being ordinary

BLASPHEMY!!!

Sorry I'm a show off.

Anyway. I'm not builting this car for speed. Its just for fun and looks. Although most people tell me civics aren't much too look at. To each their own.

I think it could look good if done right.

So far I've been pointed to a couple of shops locally that can do this. I actually have a spare dash sitting around that I can have covered. I think they will have to remove the original vinyl try and keep the original foam as intact as possible. I'm going to spray the other interior plastics with black plastic dye.

Does anyone know where I can find black sun visors and roof handles? I'm wanting to replace as much of the interior with black or dark gray as possible. Don't integras come with black interiors? I'm wondering if I can used those visors and handles if they are black.
