How the hell did you "follow all the steps" if you can't find the valet switch?

You need the valet button to program the new remote.

When you post clear and concise answers to questions asked, people will stop "being a smartass". You posted above: <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I never knew a valet = program

I came here for help not for smartasses

Either way, I stated I had the exact same pager which would be the exact same thing. the stock pager had it so this one must have it? If you read what i said the first post.

I also just said i tried programming it and you still asked me if i had a valet button. how else would i program it with out a valet button following pages 33? ....

Exactly! You said you programmed it, and you said you don't have a valet button. So that's what he asked you, and then you got an attitude, and now no one is posting in yer thread anymore. Hmm...

OK, lets try one more time, I know it can be frustrating when **** does not work, just as frustrating for us when you are not being clear.

So no name calling.

Do you have, [and know where it is] a valet/program button?

It is a small button under the dash, see wire guide, page 42

Did you read this part...
If the system was previously programmed using the 998T Bitwriter®, the learn routine may be locked.
If the siren generates one long chirp when attempting to program the unit, the learn routine is locked
and must be unlocked using the 998T Bitwriter® before proceeding.
page 33

If you are not hearing the long chirp, learn routine is not locked.

Then try this....

1- Open the door.
2- Turn ign. on.
3- Press and release the valet/program button one time, the siren will chirp one time and the alarms LED will blink one time.
4- Press and hold the valet/program button
5- Press and release button I, [lock/arm] on the remote, siren will chirp if programing worked.

If the above did not work, start again, but this time press and release the valet/program button 11 times, [Delete All Transmitters] then press and hold the valet/program button till you hear the chirp.

Now try programing the remote again, start at 1.

Please let us know what happens at each step, and be clear, EG; if when you go into programing, [press and release the valet/program button on time] tell us what happens, do you get a long chirp from the siren, do you get a short chirp and one blink from the LED, or is there no chirp or LED blink. or is there a chirp but no LED blink, or a blink but no chirp???? be clear or we can not help, and no name calling, or we will not want to help. 94
