I have a B20 sleeved with 14:4:1 compression. Just resently bought the m24x cams from rocket motorsports. are they a good cam . i bought the set up for 650 for valves valve springs and retainers, brand new. is that a good cam. i had another motor with 13:1 comprsion with Jun #3 head package running 12.2. are the m24 better

I would wager some serious dough that the M24X would come out on top of the JUN 3 in that particular setup.

i would say 12:5 for the JUN...anything between 12:0 and 12:5 would be perfect

JUN 3s have more than proven themselves to make power in as low as mid 9 compression ratios on up to above 13. you cant put a limit on their capabilities.

I had a set of M24x's. I can tell you from personal experience that they looked great and made me very excited as they sat on my dresser for 3 months. (story of my life)

The OLD M24X beat the Jun3's years ago.

September 2002 M24 v Jun3 on B20VTEC (5hp peak over J3, more in mid).

Those are the OLD M24X, not the new, bigger M24X. At the time, Jun3's reigned supreme. I'll take the small 5 peak along with the killer midrange.

X2

However, just by looking at advertised specs, the M22X more resembles the JUN3 profile than the M24X.

Seems like a question to ask long before you buy the cams, not after. Hope it works out well for ya though.

Well the M24 made more. Cams do not make 240, they just support it if you have the build, head flow/velocity, intake, and headers. You picked BHP with the xxx cams now tune the rest.

complete your package then dyno again till you reach the magical number you want.actually, you should have planned your build with the parts that will give you the HP you aim for.Cams are just part of the whole equation. the M24 will no doubt give you 240hp if tuned right.
