replaced o2 sensor check engine light still on
i plan on buy an Rsx tomorrow and we agreeded that the seller would clear out the check engine light, he was told that it was his primary o2 sensor, he ordered a new sensor and had it replaced, but guess what the engine light is still there. he claims they checked everything out and its still throwing the same code even with the new sensor, btw he does have an aftermarket exhaust. any1 ran into a similar problem? car runs fine and vtec still kicks in. you guys think i should purchase the car and take it to my mechanic?
People still do guess work? I probably wouldn't buy it; it sounds like he doesn't know what he is doing. If you really want it, take it to your mechanic and have the seller pay your mechanic to really fix the CEL.

Or he simply reset the ECU. Primary O2 is expensive.
