Itr VS. Gsr-T
What would be a better set-up for my coupe. im gonna swap in soon. got cash in hand just wondering what would pull better in a coupe. I got 2 choices, i can go ITR all motor or i can go gsr-turbo.. i wanna here everyones point of view so give me ur opinions.. thanx.
I would deffinatley have to say i would go with the GSR-T, unless you have no knowledge in forced induction and only want to keep it simple, then the type r would be the way to go

what are your goals?? turbos tend to be more towards drag race power wheras NA ITR would be more focused on auto cross and track days. make that decision first.

that would be a waste of money, just go with the gsr turbo.

i am not stating that I know much about building motors.. but the fact is that if you are deciding on a motor.. you should do a ton of research by yourself, rather than asking the opinions of others. yes, you can ask opinions, but the truth is, how much research you do into your decision is what really decides what you choose. i see plenty of these threads, and yes I've created one before, but I've come to realize that a lot of these threads are pointless at times. instead of ITR vs. GSR-T, research will answer many of your general questions--but when you need something specific answered that requires more experience and/or expertise, i believe that is the right time to create a post like this.

i'm in the works for a bar'd gsr-t

Both are great motors. I think you should find some people with these setups and see if they would let you take a drive (or ride lol), then you can compare it yourself and see what you like. Everyone has their opinions but when it comes down to it, it's gonna be you whose driving it

so you swapped a complete gsr into a different chassis and getting the Edelbrock/Greddy kit for that motor?

I would go with the all motor set up. The reason why is because a turbo set up will cause more problems in the long run, and more $$$$. Custom set up,fueling, and dyno tuning. Goodluck
You're honestly trying to compare apples to oranges. You're looking at an NA motor with around 200 hp stock, compared to a forced induction motor with a 300+ hp potential stock with a good tune. I could see if you were asking opinions on GSR to ITR, both NA. Sit down, consider what you're goal is with the car, and go from there. As they say, opinions are like ********, everyone's got one. Figure it out for yourself.
feel ya on that B18C5-EH2, people need to stop being insecure about these things - you are obviously willing to spend money either direction you take. LIVE AND LEARN. end of story.
