ITR tech help, 3rd Brake light Removal

Default ITR tech help, 3rd Brake light Removal

HELP how do i take out the 3rd brake light
cuz they are tinting my windows so i might as well do it myself before they break anything
i know its gotta be simple
i just have no idea how to take it off
so anyone have instructions or pictures or anything
please help

Not to belittle you, but if you have to ask you shouldn't do try it. Let the tint company do it, they have probbable done it hundreds of times.

If there were tinting your windows during the day, It might be a little late now.
Just remove the plastic cover on the back of the assembly. Unplug the connection and then get (If I recall well) a 10mm wrench to remove the two nuts that holds the light. Remove the light and then push out the bolts. When you get the bolts out, proceed to remove the rubber sealers. Then they can proceed to clean and tint.

I agree with Matt on this one. I am sure that if the tint place you're taking your car too is reputable and experienced, I think that they would have done some Integras already with the 3rd brake light, and know how to remove it.. Let them do it, that way if they brake it, they will replace it, but if you fugg up doing it, you're $hit outta luck.

When you take it out you are going to leave two big holes in your window. I'd just leave it, I'm sure the tint place will do it. It's a 5 minute job.

The tint place will take care of it. They a fine job on mine. But if you're bent on getting it out, listen to what '01ITR#950 said.

honda-tech is great haha for all my itr needs
i'll try it myself i guess, can't be that hard... the tint place i do sometimes doesn't take brake lights out, but sometimes they do that's why i worry

tint shop will take care of that .. that's thier job they probarblt tint too many Integra they have lot of experience !!
