Hi all!

Firstly, sorry to post this but I cannot find the thread using the search...

I remember someone posting an "official" fix for this with a picture, and it showed what needed to be hammered / peened (under the plastic cowl at the bottom of the windscreen?).

It's a really bloody annoying noise... very keen to make it STOP!

try it and let us know. I've been planning on doing it one of these days, but it seems very time consuming and negative thoughts come into mind like, what if it doesn't work .

 

i've got the noise too, it's driving me crazy! has this procedure worked for anybody yet?

Thanks... not sure why, I'm sure i searched for "creak" and "creaking" ...

I'll let you know how this goes in the next couple of days. I have just fixed a whole bunch of other annoying rattles in my car and now this one is annoying me even more!!

 

and i thought i was the only one.

 

My R hasn't gotten it yet, but my daily EF Hatch does, it sounds like 1000 crickets on steroids...
