Default Pre Built collectors....who makes them?

I know there are tons of threads of people who used to etc... but I'm curious who has a bunch of them. I'm looking for t3 collectors that are rectangular and are long.

If you sell them...shoot me some specs on your collectors and what variations you can do. I've decided that making collectors myself isn't time efficient.

these guys have them, but they are only tacked together and don't include a flange... i think tony's suggestion is a better option but these might be usable.

WOW....100 bucks for a collector! If I could find pre-cut collectors cheap enough I may save myself the time as well, but 100 bucks is just rough. A little time and it costs me maybe 13 bucks.

If you have alot your building, then premade is better, as far as time/$$$ = Cost efficiency

really nice except it looks like they only have one inlet size (t4) and they tap the t3 holes on the same opening size so there goes your nce smooth slow from being cast 1 peice when it hits the edges around the inlet to the turbo.

most of your pre-fab collectors are 4" and shorter. you'll be hard pressed to find them longer. they are also usually made of schdual 10 (if thats a problem). bmc will cut you whatever you want, but it gets expensive as you start lengthening the collector. i don't think he'll cut longer then a 6" due to the deflection on the mill. i would think it trashes the end mill or whatever cutter he's using. doesn't hurt to ask though.

how long does it actually take you guys to make them? i'm not talking about something thrown together, but an actual turbine inlet matched collector with good clearences and angles.

i used to cut them on a vertical mill and that took a couple hours usually. i was cutting them out of 304 schedual 40. the ones i do now with a angle grinder and a belt sander take a couple hours too.

for me, the time i spend on one may be better spent doing somthing else at the shop, so shelling out the cash is worth it.

Have you seen the T3 one? I don't see anything on the site that supports what you're saying. Am i missing something?

look at the one on the right, clearly not tapped for a T4 pattern, but has a large 4 opening. looks to be a t3 judging by the bolt spacing but i could be wrong. but its no t4 for sure

I end up spending 3+ hours cutting, grinding, fitting, welding, porting, and polishing. Just seems like for 50-65 bucks... at that rate with materials... I'm making around 15 bucks an hour. I'd rather be making 80 dollars an hour doing fab...so i look at it as Im losing 65 dollars an hour every hour I work on a collector. So they're costing me 195 dollars in un-applied labor.

I like SLS's collectors for the different lengths I can buy.... very important IMO.

I spoke to Z10 when they started making these and they told me that basically it was a T4 flange and if you wanted to use it on a T3 they just change the bolt pattern to a T3 pattern. Basically it was really intended to be used with a T4 turbo. Hopefully they go on to making a T3 version.

Has anyone tried welding one of these up yet? I wonder what the reliability is like.

BMC has the nicest pre cut collectors we have seen....they match up almost perfectly. Couple of minutes to weld them and you are all done.

We don't make collectors anymore, like everyone said it is to time consuming.
