Default alarm/lock remote

I have a 1997 crv and need a remote for it. I want to get another but am trying to find one with the proper FCC ID number, any ideas on where I should look, all the ones on ebay seem to have the wrong numbers. Thx

Any remote from a 97-01 CRV or 97-01 S2000 will work on your car. You can find tons of remotes on ebay. Your US FCC ID should be: E4EG8DJ This # can be found on the keyless entry box in your car. Sorry, no idea where it is in the CRV. It's probably a white box and probably found in the driver side kick panel.

I see that maybe my FCC id may be different because I'm in canada, it is (a269zua101) and is not e4eg8dj like all the ones on ebay. I just don't want to get stuck with the wrong one.
