Megan racing strut bars and coilovers?
I have the opportunity to get megan racing coilovers. They cost $900 nd i was just wondering if I should look into another coilover for that price. I also found a good deal on Megan Racing strut bars. Are they worth it? I know this isn't the suspension forum, but I want to know the luck with megan people who own integras have.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys
the megan racing full coilovers are the same thing and designed by the apexI n1 dampners. very nice suspension. all but one of the tein coilovers require you to use integra type-r lower control arms. but IMO and from feedback from others that have ran the megan racing dampners, def a good buy!

Right on the money.
Megan full dampers are just rebadged Apexi N1 dampers. Compare the specs, spring rates, dampening settings, even the colors - they are exactly the same.
BTW - $900 is too much.

They are not N1 dampers. They are N1 TYPE V dampers. BIIIIIGGG FREAKING difference.

Tein basics are not fully height adjustable. You can only turn the spring seat down to lower the car. This results in a shittier ride as you go lower, and less shock travel. Lower level Tein quality is...somtimes questionable.

I would try EBAY first. You can usually get good deals on stuff like that there. Try searching for megan coilovers and see if you can get them cheaper. Iduno how much people usually pay for them.
How much are you looking to lower the car? If you're looking to slam it, the Megans might be a good way to do it for cheap. You can just turn the lower mount perch..so the spring seat is never touched and the shock stays at full potential travel. That's the advantage of a true fully adjustable coilover.
I dont know about megan quality. I'm not saying that it's bad. I'm just saying...i seriously dont know. Never tried them out. I dont f#$k around with suspension parts. I just open my wallet real wide. My dad owns a dealership. I'm totally rich. It's no big deal. I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky surgery..but I think it'll be worth it.
Try the Koni/GC setup. You can do that for around $900. I'm sure that the quality will be higher with Koni/GC. I've experienced GCs in person. They ride like stock till you corner hard. It's uncanny. I think that might be a better solution. You can do anything you want with this setup: slam, race, ride quality, etc etc.

lol either way, they're different from the actual N1 dampers.
