Default Bolt ons for 97 GSR what are they worth?

Anyone have a real idea of what the normal bolt ons are worth? i came by a 97 GSR that has so far been untouched. Of course i will be doing a few things with it. I know head porting and better valves coupled with a decent pair of aftermarket cams will bring up the power substantially. Without going that far just yet, how about the header & cat back combo? Are the skunk or edelbrock manifolds worth anything? Also what do we have for suspension? The Tein basics caught my eye but how long do these guys last? I'd like to find a suspension setup that i can get some life out of since this will be my daily driver.

Complete valvetrain, cams, and a tune/ecu is going to cost close to 1000 dollars and probably wont net anything more than 20hp.
Decent power producing header and a catback is going to be 1000-1500 depending on what you get. 10-15hp tops(tuned).
Or you could spend that 2500 on a nice turbo setup and make 10 times as much power and be just as reliable.

Suspension is all about what you want, do you want an auto cross car? Smooth ride? Adjustability? There are hundreds of different suspension combos that have different results its all about the results you are looking for.

If you want power you should go turbo. More bang for the buck. and more HP

Thought about the turbo route but doesn't the MPG drop right off a cliff? i have to drive this thing a few hundred miles a week. Suspension wise, i'm looking for a car that's easy to toss, kind of an autocross/road course mix. The stock suspension isn't too bad, just lose. The exhaust and header combo is a given and also a little under a grand. I plan on doing all the work myself, Hondas are one of the worlds most simple cars to modify. I've spent the past few years taking a 90 Corvette from 210rwhp to 353rwhp and seriously never drive it, just tired of the car i guess. This GSR is my new project, at least within reason.

It's all preference. Turbo makes much more power than N/A, no doubt about it. But I stick with all motor because I have money to burn and I'm a sucker for aggressive cams.

Aftermarket cams tend to use up alot of gas too. With a turbo the more your in boost the worse your gas millage is going to be. If your doing freeway driving alot chances are your not going to be boosting alot (unless you have a lead foot).

Anyone have a clue what the mild Comp Cams grinds are worth? They are more aggressive than stock but designed to redline around the factory rev point, also supose to be compatible with the factory tune. Which of course i'm sure it is, but like everything else someone worth their salt tuning can always squeeze a few hp in a tune. Also these heads look seriously easy to port with an air die grinder and some cartrage rolls.
