ok so here's the problem i have a 90 da w/jdm b16a first gear is fine all the way to 8k right when i shift 2nd chirps then it grap quickly (which i dont know why i have 14 donuts with cheap *** tires) then 2nd gear right when i hit 7.5k it lag just for a sec then it picks up fast again then 3rd and 4th is fine it only happen in 2nd gear any reason why this is happening.

 

Do you have aftermarket cams? Why are you reving that high? Your motor stops producing power at 7.6k-7.8k thats probably way it lags.

 

its a jdm b16a it can handle up to 8000 rpm

 

It might be able to handle that high but why would you rev that high if its not producing power? Do you like putting the extra stress on your motor and making your car slower just so you can say you rev to 8k?

 

if you are on stock cams, you're out of power at 8K rpm, just making valvetrain noise.
