Default Quick Q: JDM HeadLight Upgrading from Non-HID to HID Headlights

I was looking to purchase a pair of JDM DC2 HID Headlights.
I now have a NON-HID on my DC2.....
My Question is since the Headlights come equip w/the Ballast and HID Unit...Would it be a plug and play???
or would i have to do a bit of rewiring and of the relay for the HID Headlights to work?

Experience Expert Advises?

you would have to do some wiring for the "low beam" because on the non hid your 9005/6 just plugs in to the light, but now you have the hid light you have to wire up, all the other lights should work when you plug the brown plug into the hid light though

will require some rewiring. the cleanest/easiest thing to do is call pwjdm bc they have a harness that plugs into the jdm harness with wiring instructions which is what i did

Wrong. If you already have a JDM front end on your car wired up, you're done. The 9006 low beam harness directly plugs into your new HID headlamp housings.

no, i dont believe you are correct. If i remember correctly, i had to rewire my harnesses when i went from HID back down to non-HID. I'm pretty sure you have to change some stuff around.

I remember wiring my friends HID front end and his low beam harness just plugged right in.

The harness is not the same with non hid and hid. You will need to re-pin it.

Wiring is different for HID and non-HID. I believe that for the non-HID the low beam wires goes differently to the bulb and for the HID lights the wires goes to the connector seen below.
