Default painted my ek sunlight yellow y56 now it looks like a cab

Im in process of painting my ek4 sunlight yellow y56 recently I went to the shop and the car was already painted, the only thing that needs is the clear coats to finish.
the problem is that I want my car to look like these

and the color without the clear coat is like this:

really it looks like a mini cab called tico in here that are used as taxis in high traffic areas.

why is there so much difference in the pics of yellow eks with the same color code???

Those colors look different because one is underground with florescent lights, and the other is in direct sunlight.

Oh, forgot to mention.

The JTUNED car is professionally photographed that's been edited in post.

The other one looks like it was shot with a 2mp PnC camera and uploaded to a photobucket account.

Getting a sample of the stock color from a stock Phoenix Yellow / Sunlight Yellow Civic would probably help match it up well.

And the second car looks to be LHD. I see parking stickers or something on the lower corner of the windshield on the opposite side though, so I'm not sure why that would be. Can't tell what the plate is for.

So it's not JDM. It's probably USDM. The likely combo for it being LHD and actually being Y-56 is it'd be a European car that isn't from the UK or Ireland. The style really looks like US though, plus that photo has been around awhile, so I'd expect it is US (Europe is a little behind on the JDM style deal).

Man, i got a mustang yellow 98 hatch. Its the color that i think you were lookin for. PM me if you want a pic. Did you purchase the paint then take it to the painter? Cuz, if you didn't they mixed the paint using the brand they work with. Whenever i need to fix or repaint anything i take the fuel door down to the paint store and they mix me my yellow from the Ford yellow so i can spray. There are many tones of yellow you might have been off on what you were asking for. I don't know.

my car was oem dark blue I want to paint it y56, so I went to a paint shop and they have a ppg software and also the booklet of honda oem colors, they match the color with the software and compared to the booklet, even they paint a sheet of metal to compare both colors and they match. I really dont know why in some pics the y56 looks very yellow and in others orange!!, in the shop the tell me that they can make the color more clear with another coat of yellow, thats why I tell them to stop the clear coat paint.

the way i read that was that it had the base coat on it and they were going to spray the clear coat another day. its been a few months since ive sprayed with ppg but i remember theres either only a 15 or 30 minute flash time (at 70 degrees F. in a heated paint booth) between base coat and clear coat.
