Its Penn. Harrisburg weather guys. Rain every other day and i am starting to worry about my car getting water inside the intake.

My solution?

Short Ram

I have yet to see pretty big improvments via a Injen CAI (prove me wrong)
but X-mas is coming up and i think i might switch out my Injen Cai and sell it for a new Fujita Short Ram...

Fujita is showing 11 WHP @ 6500 and 9.5 Ft/LBSTQ @6500 RPM
my first reaction is

A freind has 1 and i was thinking of switching over to it from my Injen sri just because i think the fitment is a little better,Velocity stack filter,dyno's slightly higher then the other sri's. Its just like any other sri it will add some aggressive sound but the only thing that pointed me 2 it was the great fitment and velocity stack filter so thats my review.

 

Hum, I just removed my Injen CAI and installed a Fujita SRI yesterday. I moved from sunny SoCal to Hurricane prone Houston, TX. I just decided I'd want my car running when it was raining and not raining. So far, I've noticed the powerband to be a little bit different, I have not had time to dyno or anything. The revving is a bit faster with the Fujita SRI (midrange) but high end feels the same. Of course, it is cold now (high 30's, low 40's) in the morning around my house, and it drives fine. I am sure my SRI is going to madly suck in the summer when its super-humid and high 90's all of the time. The installation was fine in my case, as the lower intake box (resonator or whatever) was already removed when I installed my CAI. I opted not to cut my inner fender when I installed my Injen CAI and it kinda messed up the plastic fender flap (it flaps sometimes when I'm hard turning to the left or right, and makes a weird sound, nothing affecting performance or functionality). I wish I kinda went SRI first, as it sounds a lot louder than the CAI ever did. Plus, changing the filter requires you to unbolt the SRI from only the vibration mount, and then removing the filter, rather than dismantling the car and removing the front bumper to get to it. There's plenty of space with the Fujita SRI in the engine bay--and nothing is stretched out of proportion or anything. I'm happy.

 

I have the Fujita SRI, My first impression was damn...t made the car sound pretty sick. I believe I could feel some hp increase but nothing major. I like the part and have ha it for about ten months now..no issues to report.

Well its done! It was a much easier install than my Injen CAI. I am very pleased with it! i have to say after 6000 RPM when the SRI really opens up! its SOO loud! It kind of scared me on my first run!

I do lose a little power in 2000-4000 RPM. i can tell

but No worries about hyrdo locking and it sounds sick.

You have to be in the cabin to really appriecate it.
i am glad i made the switch.
