Default Aftermarket rocker arms....

I know this subject or wearing rocker arms has been coming up lately. Some of these sets or rockers are over 15 years old and finding used ones is hit or miss these days. Is there any aftermarket company making these things that retain the factory three lobe design? A complete new set from Honda is $1000+ and the part seems pretty simple I'm surprised no company has jumped at manufacturing these and selling them for half the price or so, I can't believe there is that much to manufacturing them.

Anyone have any thoughts or know of anything in developement?

spoon used to sell them but i think they wanted over $1000 for the set. the only companies i know of that make rocker arms are for the killer cams which does not retain the three pad design.

i couldnt imagine you finding a used set because everyone needs them and no one really runs killer cams.

sorry i couldnt be more of a help.

I believe the spoon ones were just polished oems. I don't really need a set, just something that I've been wondering about.

Does anyone know how the pads are adhered to the rockers? They appear to be two pieces. Could the swipe pads be replaced (if replacement pads were available)?

the pads are most likely brazed into place and no the pads cannot be replaced no way in hell should that be done...lol

Why not, if new pads can be machined with the oem radius and surface hardness why not replace the pads if they can be? Brazing isn't exactly the hardest process to perform.

I retract my statement.

If you want cheap OEM replacements, check out City-Speed. They buy complete ITR cylinder heads in bulk and then part them out. New rocker set for $250.

That is a good price for the rockers, too bad now that it has been posted they will sell out and not be available if I need them in the futuree. lol.
