Where is the primary oxygen sensor located on a 2002 accord?
hay guys/gals.
Asking for my baby sister 400 miles away. Her 2002 accord (with 45000) got a check engin light. To her credit she went to autozone and they help her dump the code. The code was for the primary oxygen sensor.
I remember that there is an oxygen sensor at the exhaust manafold between the engin and the radiator.
Is this the primary one? If not where is the primary one located? Picture and diagrams would help a lot. I will forward to my sister. I think with direction over the phone and pictures and diagrams she could replace it over the phone.

well there really isnt a "primary" one....there is an upstream which is located on the exhaust manifold and then there is a downstream O2 sensor on the header underneath the car. I think the one that Autozone is referring to is the Upstream. For that car, i think the O2 sensor is about $100. Hope this helps.
