Coolant in cylinder 4 Help!
So I'm still trying to get my 4 dr lx working right. I recently had to replace a broken valve, and so replaced the headgasket with a brand new one. Now the engine for whatever reason has tons of coolant going into cylinder #4 that I can visually see when I take the spark plug out and shine a light down in the hole. I did a compression test and all cylinders including #4 are 180 psi. So i'm at a loss here. I check the intake manifold line that has coolant near cylinder 4 but it seams fine, and I replaced the intake manifold gasket too.. At a loss here, any help would be appreciated. O and yes I took off the head when the engine was completly cold and put back on when it was cold too, and took it off and put it on by the helms, in the correct order, at the correct torque sequence, and I reused the stock bolts cause they looked in good condition.
bump. forgot to add that oil isn't milky at all and car never overheats, actually has a problem warming up, even replaced the thermostat. It takes like 15 minutes to warm up when driving.
id chech the psi on cyl 4 it just dosent seem right to have a coolant leak but yet theirs no leak. ur only other option is ur headgasket...... u seem like you knew what u were doin but the coolant has to leak in some how ( crackedsleave, bad rings,) theirs only so many ways to get in
hmm, I love saying that I just did a compression check and said it was 180 psi but ppl don't seam to ahve read that... o well. yes it has Good compression, i even just now finished a leak down test and it turned out perfect only a bit loss which is normal. Well a bit of update, I blocked off the intake manifold coolant line, the one that goes to the head near cylinder 4 and turned the car on for about 20 seconds and voallaa no more leak and no more burning coolant. So my next question, why is it leaking? It's brand new and got everything torqued down, would gasket sealer help?
Since no one else has chimed in...
I'm not sure if your intake manifold gasket came with a layer of rtv around where the coolant runs from the intake into the head (or vice versa), but if it did not I would put a layer around the head AND intake surface and then put a new gasket on there.
Hope this helps...

Thanks Jimmy, yeah I just went and bought some gasket sealant stuff and put it on so now i'm just waiting for it to day, hopefully that'l help and solve the problem.

Hope your head is not cracked allowing that coolant to enter, not sure if that would affect the comp test or not. weird problem, good luck either way.
