Default random question. need to find a person that can mill some parts in San Diego, Ca

i've been looking for machine shop in San Diego, California to do some simple mill work. I have two brake caliper mounting brackets that need to be milled 1/8th off the back side of the mounts. All the shops i've called have quoted me around 65 to 95. WTF!

here is an example of what needs to be done. (pic's taken from HMT. for ref.)

I second not being such a cheap ***, just because you found pictures on the interweb does not mean its free.

what the hell does the pics and free have anything to do with it? i am using the pictures to give an idea of what kind of work needs to be done. so i can get a respectful idea on what i should be charged. other words, i want to know whats the going price. but thanks.

I wouldn't mill those for less than $65 unless it was friday afternoon and you showed up with beer. Than it would likely cost beer.
