need help doin Timing please help!

Default need help doin Timing please help!

so ive heard alot of rumors that you must do your timing with the flywheel... i needed to know if its true because im goin turbo on my jdm h22 so im goin to put a head gasket on. but any whay do you guys have any clues on how to do it? pleace help! thanks guys

there is a mark on the flywheel for tdc, if its a stock flywheel check your manual to find out which mark it is, if its aftermarket it should say tdc. line up the marks from the hole in the trans to tdc. then line up the cams, there is a whole in the top of each cam that you can stick a holder through to hold the cams in the right spot. make sure the adjuster is loose wrap the belt around all the gears, let the adjuster go to tighten and spin the crank 3 teeth. tighten everything back down, spin the crank all the way around to make sure everything stayed on time.
