I have a question...I have never attended a ny SCCA autox event so I would like to know where exactly it is being held at for the July 7th event. It looks like I will be in town for the weekend and would like to hit up this event. Please let me know as the website doesn't really say anything other than Nassau and the pre-registeration form doesn't submit either. I hope to see some of you there. Thanks.

NY one is held at the Nasau Coliseum and I think at the Palisades Mall.

 

if ur interested, this weekend is a double header. were going to e-town for an scca event on sat. and giants stadium on sunday for an autocross held by a newer group called N.A.S.A
as for the july 7th event, it will be held at nassau collesium(sp?) on long island. its a decent site. its my home reigon, so i will be there and probably helping running the event.

I'm going back to NY next week, probably on the 4th if not late night on the 3rd. So I can only attend the autocross on the 7th. Nassau Colesium(I can't spell either) is in Long Island? I lived in NY for 15 years and I don't know where is where...I guess I will see you there on the 7th. Can you tell me how to get to the place if I get on to the LIE? Thanks.

What do you drive? I will see you there then...I drive a silver prelude and probably will show up with a friend that drives a white 240sx. Does anyone know if they allow passengers or do I have to wait for fun runs or are there even fun runs?

word to the mimi meet. there will be some other honda-techers there i'm sure. i'll be there early probably (even though i live in freeport (12 min away) and i think i'll be doing tech inspection, but i'm not sure. no one's said they need me to. as for passangers, we don't allow passangers. only enstructers are allowed to be in the car besides the driver and most likely we won't have fun runs. but no worries. u will still have a blast.
btw-i'll be the tall guy with dreads in the red ef hatch in HS.

I'd better tell this girl that she can't sit in my car for my runs...that sucks...I know it'll be fun but I was just thinking about my friends who will spectate and probably get sun burned and see 200 cars go through the same course over and over and over and over and over....

Soloef, I think I saw you last time at the NASA autox at the meadowlands. I was the short Taiwanese kid working the grid right before I sent you off to the line.

Sorry to jump in, but I was wondering how many people from this board were planning on going to E-town, NJ this Saturday. I'll be there for sure. I'm in the Red Del Sol, I've raced thee before, last year(?) it was freaking hot all day, and there's not much room in a Sol for a bbq stand and drinks

I'm not new at this, but I'm not good either. Just looking for some pointers on FWD cars. (don't worry, I run DM class w/swap)

Well, I wasn't going to. E town is already 2 1/2 hr drive, and I wasn't planning on staying over.

 

oh wow. thats a trek. thats cool tho. just remember to get to e-town early. we have to get it goin early because of the karting(i think the karts are racing in the afternoon)

I am putting together a little meet of 240s that want to watch the AutoXers race. Most of us want to attend events but speaking for my self my car is not ready.

I was going to go to Giants Stadium on saturday and maybe VA on sunday. I would rather attend a local AutoX sunday instead of the HyperFest unless I get some other cars to go down there with me.

 

i'll be at e-town an sat. and nasa @ giants stadium on sunday. come to both and get started autocrossing

 

god damn..commin home today i blew my tranny...i guess ill have to wait for my first autox..well if i can get one in by the seventh ill be there..in any case i took of work so ill take a ride if anyones meeting out there..maybe get some pointers hehe

I will let my friend know about the 240SX meet. My friend autocrossed once and it was in my old 00 Si. He's a newbie but I think he's got plenty of potential. Anyway, I can't wait for this autocross already!!!

<whew> well, the double header weekend is over. oh what fun. it was good to see some soon-to-be-newbies come out and check things out (stan) and it was good to meet someone new (rodney) who is the first person i've met through this board so far. and may i say, DAAAAAAAAAAAAM ur car is super fast and u drive it well. and don't let the wife give u flak. mount that plaque right on the wall soemwhere
