Default Dyno test of Vibrant 4-2-1 2.5" collector header

We recently installed this header on a customer's car in addition to the 2.5" header collector kit (test pipe), and tuned it a little bit further with an AFC Neo. I still can't believe the results.

The motor is an OBD2 B16A.

Mods include:

AEM short ram intake
Skunk 2 66mm TB
Skunk 2 IM
Vibrant 2.5" 4-2-1 header
2.5" test pipe
Skunk 2 catback
B&M FPR
AFC Neo

The results should speak for themselves.

Keep in mind the only things we changed were the header, the test pipe and a little more tuning.
This vehicle had been tuned before, but what a difference in power!

Vibrant makes a hell of a product.

nice, typical returns for a B16A.

nice, but you need a 2.0L bottom end now.

I have seen very similar gains on numerous occasions from Vibrant's 4-1 version of this header. Nice budget header. Not the best, but pretty nice because it works.

i've let off half a dozen of these units in the last few years and they make power. quality and ground clearance are excellent . i prefer these much more than their 4-1 piece

The best bang for the buck IMO. I achieved just over 200 whp on my B18c1 build using it...but then again, dyno numbers don't mean much.

Anyhow, in terms of craftsmanship, it scores high. Welds are good and ground clearance is superb. Can't go wrong.

Now try that Vibrant header on a high output B and see how your results are.

Pretty nice gains there. I'm sure there will be much more with further modifications.

what do u consider high output? 2L, 12/1, stg.2 minumum cam? cuz chillinit made 204whp 136wtq with this same unit. 81.5mm, 87.2mm, BC4. thats pretty damn good for an off shelf header

Imagine with an SMSP, Hytech, RMF header...it would probably jump a couple more WHP on that motor

Guys, for $$$/hp, the Vibrant is tough to beat.

Maybe about 4 years ago, but nowadays the fakie hytech units make greater power for less. The vibrant 4 into 1 has horrible clearance, does not do well on high output engines, and weighs a ton. I have to dig it up in my dynojet files but i have some comparisons on the vibrant vs. spark headers. On a 2.0L making 230+ whp, you wouldnt even think it was the same engine.
