Default Just installed an ACT organic clutch, now problems!

I just had an Organic Performance disk and heavy duty pressure plate from ACT installed two weeks ago and now I have issues. I went drag racing tonight and after about six races I noticed that I had to pres the clutch in much further to get engagement, but didn't pat much attention to it. When I put it in first, staged , and let her rip, the car didn't move . I put it in gear and gave gas and the thing acted like it was in neutral. I mean I put it in all the gears. let off the clutch, and the car wouldn't even die or sputter foward. I had to get it toed home. Please help me understand what went on.

i had the same clutch and one day while driving my car jumped amd then felt like it was in nuetral no mater what gear it was in so i found out it was my pasenger side axle the teath were grinded away but i was hitting around 140 mph testing my speeds in 5th the night before so im sure its the same problem couse if the axle teath are grinded away the flywheel cant move the axle to make the wheels turn but i could be wrong.

Sounds like either your axle popped out, or like wunfstgsr mentioned, perhaps worn out splines on the axle.

seems like an axle. if you put it in gear and relase the clutch pedal and it doesnt move anywhere most likely it is your axle. or axles

same thing everyone said.. axle(s). probably popped out of place from launching.

but curious to know if you even broke in your clutch before drag racing.

Of course the clutch was broken in. I noticed that two races before it gave, that i had to press further on the clutch to get engagement. I don't think that my axle broke because when i did that last run the car didn't even move or spin tire an inch. I just put it in gear, dropped the lever and mashed gas, but it only reved out. There was no initial movement of the tires to provide resistance to brake axles, if you know what i mean.

no, not me, my mechanic hasn't called me yet but he suspects that it was clutch related.

It sounds like an axle problem, hopefully, that's a cheap fix.

thank everyone that gave an input because it did turn out to be the axle. It was the one on the intermideate shaft side, and it cut clean ride inside the cv.
