Weird clutch problem.
Ok. So I just swapped a D series into my B swapped hatch (MPG FTW). Now, I have a small problem with my clutch. It won't disengage all the way. It won't go in gear cause of that. Well it does but I have to grind it in. Ontop of that when it's at idle in first it drives itself forwar.
I have already replaced the clutch (exedy), throwout bearing (honda) and clutch cable (used my near new OEM DA cable). It was mint with my B series and now that it's D it won't work. I only had a spare B series clutch cable so I swapped it in. Is it different then a D series clutch cable? I'm really confused. This weekend I'm gonna tear the tranny off so I need to know now before I pull it all off. The throw bearing also makes no noise.
As far as I could tell, the clutch lever is not bent or cracked. Everything looks good and operates good otherwise. I don't know what could be wrong. It seems to only thing left are the clutch lever, the pressure plate was a defect from factory or the throwout bearing was a defect from factory.
Anyone have any inputs?

well the B series cable has more slack so it can accommodate the size of the B series trans. so , yes, the B series cable is different, it has way more "exposed wire" (lack of better words) than the D series at the lever contact. that's why even when its adjusted all the way p, you still cant get the clutch to disengage all the way. so in other words, try a D series cable
MY brother is bringing me a cable this Wednesday. Hopefully it fixes this problem cause I really don't wanna be tearing the tranny off again.
Although, our trannies are ridiculously easy to tear off.
Edit: It's actually gotten worse now. It won't even start if it's in gear, just moves the car forward, even in reverse.
******* gay.
Edit #2: Ok, I took off the clutch cable at the trans and I noticed that the lever has over 2 inches of play before it touches the clutch. I mean, I use up all the adjustment removing the play from the clutch lever. Throwout bearing? Bent clutch lever?

that's normal, specially with an aftermarket clutch. since the D series cable is slightly smaller it will get a rid of that slack with a little more adjustment so you can actually fully disengage the clutch fully. if non of that works out, then your clutch lever or fork might be bent.
hope this helps

Well after todays fiasco with my car no being able to be driven, my brother came down today with a clutch cable. Will report in a bit with the d series cable installed.
Ok. So I replaced the whole clutch release assembly, including the cable and the throwout bearing again.
Well now it really doesn't matter that the clutch for fine (which it does, very well might I add). Cause now the freaking tranny has no reverse, no second gear and neutral acts as a gear. Reverse only works when you start the car in reverse, letting the clutch out makes it go forward.
So, ya, I don't think the tranny is good anymore. Which is odd, because the last thing I did last night is reverse the car out of the driveway, let the guy in the garage out and drive it smoothly into the garage.
I'm official cursed. All my cars have these gay *** situation with them. In the last 200kms that this car has seen I've tossed in a new engine, 2 trannies, 2 clutchs and now it's going on it's 3rd tranny.
expletive hondas.
