hello fellow h-t members I currently found this out well today more like it, I bought a filter for my intake and took off the tube just so I could give it some cleaning. when I take off the tube, I discover that there is oil in there only after the valve it has to connect to the valve cover breather. there was also some oil on the throttle body. so now I see why it smells like its running super rich or at least it smells like it is. it also throws small clouds of smoke when driving off, I thought it was due to a head condition, but this might be it, my car also has horrible gas mileage this has to be causing it due to dirty injectors im assuming. so what can I do to fix this problem? help is greatly appreciated.

 

oh yeah and i have a gsr head b16 block combo if that matters any and its not boosted or anything.

 

Perform a compression test and consider replacing the PCV.

 

update, my motor was indeed on its last breaths..... it died,,,, messed up piston, head was eaten away by a cam,,, very ugly shiet...

 

The compression test would have diagnosed that. Sorry.

 

i thought some oil residue from the breather tubes was normal. just residue not tons of oil.

too bad...any idea of how you're going to proceed from here?

 

replace the head. go with itr this time.
