friend has the same problem as i and he wanted to know if this setup that he has concocted would work? he knows that it is an auto and should not me modified but he wanted to see if this would work. and i want to see want will be the out come and what you guys have to say. the set up is:
02 rsx k20a3

- K20a2 rockers and pins, and k20a2 rocker shafts, k20a2 cams (http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...ight=swap+head)
- intake, exhaust
- turbo kit?

what is so bad about the auto/manual seq-shifter?

You are constantly in boost since the TB doesn't close. On top of not getting the correct power out of a boosted automatic.

Also on the A3 with A2 rocker arms.. i read the whole thread is sounds great and what not but i don't trust reliability especially for what you want to do. You can get the A3 to act as an A2 but then you run into reliability and price to get it to work correctly. You might as well just do an engine swap but since you have an automatic a3 you are kinda SOL unless you change it from an auto to a manual.

 

Tell "your friend" to sell the auto and buy a rsx-s.
