Tach Cluster swap - Oddball Question
I just got a cluster from EBay with a tachometer - installed it and everything is working - but - the old cluster had an add-on on the back - totally stock looking, with a four pin blue connector - I would just swap the add on to the new cluster, but the latches and standoff do not even come close - there are two wires coming out of this add-on - one black to ground, and one white with red stripe that goes to what looks to be a diode connection.
It says NST1360 on the piggyback.
Does anybody know what this piggyback item is on the stock cluster ?
Thanks,
Ken

This would be a 1991 Civic Hatchback Standard (manual trans, D15B1) - I'm noticing that both clusters are set up to have a piggyback daughterboard that clips into place back there, but the connections are different...
The daugterboard has one IC and several resistors - the blue connector is part of the original harness, so I'm pretty sure that it is a stock item - it's just missing on the new Ebay'd piece...
The car seems to run fine without it, and everything works, but it seems really odd to have that blue clip just dangling there.
Thanks for any and all help.
