Default cluster illumination / lights

i have a 1991 civic hatch std about a week ago i started it and everything was normal except the cluster lights didn't light up. All the other lights lit up including the heat control. Also the brightness adjustment works on those lights. I checked the fuses and the connections into the fuse box and they all seemed good. Anyone have any ideas what happened.

happen to me too especially in cold weather. I guess one of the wires for the lights contract or shrink in cold weather. It works fine in warm weather and after being turn on for 30 minutes.

yeah weird thing i pulled out the brightness switch and put it back in and boom stuff works but one cool thing is that the brightness switch is not inline because the dash lights work with it pulled out... you just cant adjust them
